Pakistan Workers� Federation (PWF) is the single largest national trade union center in Pakistan currently has eight regional offices in the four provinces of Pakistan with an affiliation of 419 unions and a membership of more then 880,000 workers nationwide representing the majority of unionised workers.

Lahore, 2nd Triennial National General Council of Pakistan Workers Federation was held on 22nd July, 2008 at Bukhtiar Labour Hall, Lahore under the Presidentship of Mr. Muhammad Ahmad, Chairman of the Federation which was participated by larger number of elected members of the General Council of the eight Regional Centers of the Federation from all over the country having membership of 0.88 million workers both in public and private sectors.

 

In the first Session the report of the credential committee was submitted to the House outlining the unanimous nominations received from the Regional Federations and affiliated trade unions for acceptance of Mr. Ch. Muhammad Talib Nawaz as President, Mr. Khurshid Ahmad as General Secretary and Mr. Muhammad Ahmad as Chairman of the Federation for the next term. The House approved the election of those office bearers for the next three years.
